Brothers Participate in March of Dimes - March for Babies

The March of Dimes - March for Babies which was held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the Hunt Valley Towne
Centre at 118 Shawan Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030.

The opening ceremony took place at
8:45a featuring our Show Of Hands Ceremony, which was a touching moment. We heard from families
who lost babies, who had premature babies, and families who cannot have children. After we heard from
the speakers, everyone took a moment of silence for those battling with the different situations.

The day of festivities included: Rock painting, stroller decorating, cornhole, music, and fun for the whole
family! We visited our four neighborhoods: CARE, CONNECT, UNITE, and HONOR! We had the
opportunity to pick up your affinity bracelet in one of those areas to share why you are walking. We were also provided water and bananas for the route leisure 1.5 mile walk around the Towne Centre.

The Chapter raised $2,528 for the National Program of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. We were Ranked
42 out of 171 Chapters. We appreciated all the donations that came in because we know it will be going to an amazing cause.

While at the March of Dimes - March for Babies, we hung close with our fellow county sorority organization: Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc – Rho Eta Zeta Chapter. We thoroughly enjoyed the time together because we both share March of Dimes - March for Babies as National Programs. For the next March of Dimes - March for Babies, we plan to walk together.
